On November 3rd, Sha Tin Cycling Festival 2024, supported by the China Merchants Group（”CMG” or “the Group”）and CM+ Hotels and Serviced Apartments (“CM+”), was held successfully.

It is a good attempt by the Group to fully serve Hong Kong’s “set to thrive”, and to carry out the “China Merchants Happy Community” activities. China Merchants Shekou Industrial Zone Holdings Co., Ltd actively organized and planned this event, responding to the call of HKSAR to “continue to foster sports development by promoting sports in the community, supporting elite sports, maintaining Hong Kong as a centre for major international sports events, enhancing professionalism, and developing sports as an industry.”

The Festival launched 11 professional competitions and city circuit racings, attracting over 700 participants from various age groups to join, creating a vibrant atmosphere. In the afternoon, the “Torch Passing & Heritage Carnival” set 14 unique booths to promote fun sport games, allowing people live in Sha Tin to experience the charm of cycling.

Winners of eight racing categories including the “CM Group Elite Men's Cup” and the “CM Group Elite Women's Cup”, received one night free stay in deluxe sea view room at CM+. At the Festival, CM+ also distributed 160 discount coupons to participants of the “Sha Tin District Council Fun Cup”.
